About Beyond Android

Beyond Android exists for one reason. Most people don't actually own their phone. They are just stuck in the default universe provided to them.

This space is for anyone who wants to change that. Whether you're new to customisation, apps, tools, or anything related to Android.

What you'll find here

• Practical FOSS alternatives to apps that quietly collect more than they should
• Real comparisons, tested and explained.
• Direct solution, no twists and turnarounds.

Why FOSS, why privacy first

Every recommendation here leans toward open source and privacy-respecting tools first. Not because closed source is automatically bad, but because you deserve to know what's actually happening on your own device before you trust it with your data.

Who's behind this

Beyond Android is run by a single person who actually uses everything written here. So it's basically my apps, tools, thoughts, tweaks, wallpapers, and customisation being shared.
